About Craig Chandler

CRAIG B. CHANDLER BIOGRAPHY

Craig Chandler has a solid education. He attended Park Avenue Academy, Queen Elizabeth High School, Laurentian University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McMaster University.

Craig Chandler was named a finalist in Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Program, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Leadership Institute (CLI), was employed by Great West Energy Ltd; R.C. Kris Associates as a Management Consultant, Chandler Energy Inc.as a Market Analyst and by Chandler Energy Resources as Director of Regulatory Affairs.

Craig is also the Executive Director of the Progressive Group for Independent Business (PGIB), Chief Executive Officer of America Is On Sale Inc, was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Concerned Christians Canada Inc. (CCC), owner of an Ethanol & Bio-diesel company and was instrumental in getting alternative fuel funding included in the 2007 federal budget.

Craig received formal training at the Leadership Institute in the United States, an organization which has trained Canadian Members Of Parliament, United States Senators, State Representatives, Congressmen and very successful entrepreneurs and political activists from around the globe.

Craig was spokesman for Focus Federally for Reform (FFR), an entity that opposed provincial expansion of the Reform Party of Canada in Ontario, chief spokesperson for The No Means Yes To Canada Committee (a group that opposed the Charlottetown Accord, was President of the McMaster Reform Party Association in 1992, a former Reform Party organizer for Ontario and a Reform Party candidate in Hamilton Mountain in 1993.

Mr. Chandler was also a contributor to the Common Sense Revolution that propelled Mike Harris to power in Ontario. Craig was a founding member of the United Alternative. Craig was also Chairman of the 2cards.ca movement that was instrumental in uniting the former federal Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and the Canadian Alliance into the new Conservative Party of Canada. Mr Chandler ran for leadership of the federal Progressive Conservative Party of Canada in 2003 to complete his unity mission as the pro-merger candidate.

On November 17, 2007 Craig won the nomination for the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party by a massive majority in Calgary Egmont. Premier Ed Stelmach then denied his candidacy. This move led to Craig help organize the Wildrose Allliance Party of Alberta where he managed the campaign of Dr. Mark Dyrholm against Danielle Smith. Craig still has the record for signing up more members to the Wildrose Party than anyone in the party’s history. Craig signed up over 4,000 members.

Although, Craig was a major contributor to the membership base, policies and platforms of the Wildrose Party, Craig has since been invited and has gone back to the Alberta Progressive Conservative Party. Craig witnessed first hand the tactics and serious intolerance of the Wildrose Party and those the leader has chosen to surround herself with.

Craig has also managed many campaigns with many victories including, but, not limited to MLA Ric McIver, Jon Lord (Former MLA & City Councillor), Art Johnson (Former MLA), MLA Rick Fraser, MLA Jonathan Denis, Councillor Shane Keating, Councillor Joe Magliocca and Councillor Peter Demong. Craig also worked on campaigns such as Premier Ralph Klien, Premier Mike Harris and Prime Minister Stephen Harper just to name a few. In addition, Craig Chandler received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his “Contributions to Canada.”

Mr. Chandler has also debated many political representatives such as former Ontario Attorney General and Ontario NDP leader Howard Hampton, MP Stan Keyes, MP Beth Phinney, MP Jason Kenney, former Senator Keith Davey, MP Jim Prentice, Conservative Party Of Canada Deputy Leader Peter McKay, former Mulroney Cabinet Minister Heward Grafftey, Liberal Opposition MP Scott Brison, Activist David Orchard, former MP Andre Bachand and other elected and non-elected leaders, nationally, provincially and regionally in scope.

Craig has been written about extensively in books such as the best selling "The Next Canada" and has been quoted in various other best selling books such as "The Great Canadian Grain Robbery", "Jail House Justice" and has an honourable mention in other books written with Steve Forbes and Brian Tracey by Liz Potter like “Cracking The Success Code”, “Change Agent” and “Sucessonomics”.

Mr. Chandler is frequently quoted in newspapers and interviewed on a frequent basis throughout Canada.

Craig has also long had his own radio show. Whether it be in University, the Freedom Radio Network on AM 1140 to Chandler Radio on 88.9 Shine FM, Craig has long been a defender of free speech and conservative values.

Craig has also received various letters of support and / or appreciation from many such as Premier Ralph Klein, Jason Kenney, Stephen Harper and others.

Craig calls Calgary, Alberta home. Craig moved to Calgary in 1995 from Burlington, Ontario. Craig is 43 years of age, married to Julie Chandler since 1998 and is the proud parent of Brock Alexander Chandler and Kaitlyn Margaret Chandler who were both born in Calgary. Craig owns a Bichon  Shitzu named Purple In Spanish.
